WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Jamie Dolan scored five goals, and Nicole Pyle and Lauren Glassey each registered six points, as No. 2 West Chester pulled away from visiting Millersville late in the first half en route to an 18-8 victory Saturday afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field.
West Chester (5-0, 2-0 PSAC) remained perfect on the season and in league play with the win over Millersville (4-2, 0-2).
The Golden Rams scored seven of the last eight goals in the first half to stretch a 6-4 lead to 13-5. Pyle registered two of her four goals during that string while Glassey (3 goals, 3 assists) also netted a pair to fuel the run. Dolan notched three of her game-high five tallies before halftime as well.
West Chester continued its dominance on defense in the second half. The Golden Rams surrendered just three goals after the break.
Theresa Giunta scored twice while Sarah Dennison, Brittany Long, Tori Dugan and Haley Nelson all netted one goal.
Jess Henderson (5-0) made four saves in the second half to register the win in the cage for West Chester.
The Golden Rams travel to East Stroudsburg on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. PSAC match.
