A Record 371 Student-Athletes Named To WCU AD Honor Roll

Fall 2013 WCU AD Academic Honor Roll

WEST CHESTER, Pa.  – West Chester University student athletes continued to show their excellence in the classroom as well as on the field of play last semester as the university announced the names of 371 student-athletes, who have been selected to the Fall 2013 WCU Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll.
 
The 371 student-athletes named to the Fall 2013 WCU AD Academic Honor Roll establishes a new school record for a single semester. It is the first time that West Chester's AD academic honor roll has eclipsed 370 student-athletes.
 
A total of 34 student-athletes received a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while 13 out of that list have an overall cumulative GPA of 4.0. The Golden Rams' nationally ranked football squad led the way with 36 honorees, accomplishing the feat during its in-season semester. The women's combined cross country and track & field teams put 32 members on the honor roll.
 
The honor roll consists of student-athletes from all 24 of West Chester University's varsity athletic teams, as well as the cheerleading squad. Student-athletes earn placement on the honor roll by attaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00, or by recording a 3.0 GPA for the semester.
