Eighth Annual Rams Let's Walk 5K Continues to Bring Awareness to Student-Athlete Mental Health

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- For the eighth year in a row, the West Chester University Athletics Department came together for the eighth annual Rams Let's Walk event to raise funds and awareness for student-athlete mental health. The event, which featured 230 registered participants and over 50 additional student-athletes volunteering, took place on Sunday, September 21st at West Chester University.

The event raised over $4,000 in support of WCU Athletics Initiatives to support student-athlete mental health. A host of campus departments and organizations, such as The Hidden Opponent, Lax-4-Life, and the Counseling Center, were represented at the event to help raise awareness of the existing resources available to students.

 Participants included WCU students, faculty, staff, family, friends, and West Chester residents who can either walk the one-mile route or run the 5K. 

The 8th annual Rams Let's Walk took place on campus on Sunday, September 20th. Rams Let's Walk is an annual event hosted by the WCU Athletics Department that aims to raise funds and awareness for student-athlete mental health.

After the race, organizers announced raffle basket winners and the winners from each division. West Chester also recognized Wegmans and Rossi's Rally for their donations, which helped make the eighth annual Rams Let's Walk a success once again in 2026.
