Quinnipiac Tops West Chester In NCWVRA Tournament

HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac topped West Chester, 84-7, in the first round of the National Collegiate Women's Varsity Rugby Association (NCWVRA) Saturday afternoon.

The tournament, an eight-team field, is the first postseason tournament comprised solely of NCAA varsity women's rugby programs in the nation.

West Chester's Arielle Gantt scored a try in the 29th minute with a conversion from Lili Riley. However, the Bobcats raced out to a 46-7 lead by halftime and never looked back.
