Box Score West Chester, Pa. – West Chester jumped out to a nine point lead at the half and increased it to their largest lead of 26 points to defeat Lock Haven 74-52, in their first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game of the season inside Hollinger Fieldhouse Wednesday night.
The Golden Rams (2-1, 1-0 PSAC) had 13 steals and outscored the Bald Eagles 22-8 off turnovers. Lock Haven (1-2, 0-1 PSAC) cut the lead to one with 5:04 left in the second period, but WCUs
Dallas Ely (Montrose, Pa. / Montrose) would hit a three to begin an 11-3 run to close out the half (35-26). WCU prevented a single Bald Eagle player to record double-figures as Loren Kaiser scored a team-high nine points.

Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) scored a team-high 16 points (8-for-15), to go with four rebounds and three steals in the game. Forward Anna Kuntz (Camp Hill, Pa. / Trinity) poured in a a season-high 15 points and eight rebounds, all on the defensive end of the court in the victory.
Kendall Benovy (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) was inserted into the starting lineup for her second-straight game, scoring 13 points and grabbing six rebounds. Ely added 12 points and six rebounds as well.
West Chester will begin their first two game road-trip of the season first taking on Pitt-Johnstown this Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by a meeting with Indiana (Pa.) on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
