Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester made a late push, scoring five of the final seven goals of the game, but third-ranked Lindenwood held off the homestanding Golden Rams, 13-10, on an overcast and cool Friday The 13th at Vonnie Gros Field.

West Chester (1-1) got a pair of goals from
Hannah Cowan (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy),
Ashley Pyle (Springfield, Pa./Garnet Valley), Erin Eckert (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) and
Sarah Dennison (Fallston, Md./John Carroll). However, Lindenwood (4-0) jumped out to a 9-3 lead by halftime and never looked back.

The Golden Rams began their comeback with 13 minutes left in the game and trailing 11-5. Back-to-back goals from Pyle and
Kelsy Gumbert (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) one minute apart to pull within four at 11-7. But, that was as close as the Rams would get until Eckert's final tally with 1:08 left.

The lions' powered out to a 6-1 lead on the strength of a natural hat trick from Sophie Buelow early on. Buelow scored three straight unanswered tallies over a four-minute period that gave Lindenwood a 4-1 advantage.
Erin Gallagher (Narbeth, Pa./Lower Merion) opened the scoring with a goal four minutes into the contest. Following that marker, Lindenwood rattled off six straight. Meanwhile, the Lions kept the Rams off the scoreboard for 15 minutes.

Paige Mitros (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) (1-1) started the game and played the first 14 minutes, allowing five goals without making a save.
Merrilee Viguers (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) played the rest of the game, allowing eight goals and making five saves.
