Last Second Goal Leads Bloomsburg Over No. 13 West Chester, 7-6

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Bloomsburg's Julie Falk scored the game-winning goal with two seconds remaining on the clock as visiting Bloomsburg escaped Vonnie Gros Field wiht a 7-6 victory over No. 13 West Chester Saturday afternoon.
 
It was a first half dominated by the defenses with only three combined goals scored. Erin Gallagher (Narberth, Pa. / Lower Merion) scored the only goal for the Golden Rams, which counted as her fourth goal this season.
 
Erin Eckert (Bridgewater, N.J. / Bridgewater- Raritan) scored two goals for the Golden Rams and added an assist. Merrilee Viguers (Malvern, Pa./ Garnet Valley) made four saves in the loss against the Huskies.
 
Hannah Cowan (Wilmington, De. / Ursuline Academy) and Ashley Pyle (Springfield, Pa. / Garnet Valley) scored early on in the second half to tie the game at 3-3. But, Bloomsburg quickly regained the lead with a goal by Brigid Kyne. Dina Cifelli (Robinsonville, N.J. / Notre Dame) and Erin Eckert scored towards the end of the half, but Marisa Moley and Julie Falk countered for the decisive goals late in the contest.

West Chester returns to Vonnie Gros Field on Tuesday, March 24 in hopes of picking up a win against Kutztown Universtiy.
