Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Ten different players scored, and Merrilee Viguers made nine saves, as 16th-ranked West Chester topped visiting Kutztown, 14-5, in a PSAC women's lacrosse match Tuesday afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field.

West Chester (3-2, 1-1 PSAC) recorded its first conference win while Kutztown (1-4, 0-2) is still in search of its first win.

Dina Cifelli led the way with six points in the win for the Golden Rams. She scored a goal and assisted on five others. Ashley Pyle, Erin Eckert, Kelsy Gumbert and Kristen Vath each scored twice in the game. Pyle also added an assist for a three-point afternoon.

West Chester scored the first eight goals of the game to take control early on. Kutztown did not get on the board until four minutes remained in the opening half. Eckert and Pyle each scored both of their goals during that opening eight-goal run.

After the Golden Bears finally got on the board, the Golden Rams shot back with five unanswered goals sandwiched around intermission to pull away to a 13-1 advantage with 15:37 to play.

Gumbert sparked the run with the first two tallies during that spurt.

West Chester hits the road for two PSAC contests this weekend as the Golden Rams travel to Slippery Rock on Friday and Mercyhurst on Saturday.
