LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - West Chester University put a school-record 230 student-athletes on the 2015 PSAC Academic Honor Roll it was announced by the conference on Wednesday. It is the second highest total in the conference and highest among PASSHE schools.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honored 2,691 scholar-athletes from the league's 18 institutions during the 2014-15 academic year, marking 38 percent of the student-athlete population. The 2,691 scholar-athlete total breaks the previous record of 2,537 set a year ago, while 38 percent is also a new standard for the conference. The 2,691 total represents 38 percent of the total 7,161 student-athletes participating in the conference. The league has now registered at least a 30 percent rate for seven straight years.

West Chester charted the most female student-athletes in the conference with 166 women named to the academic honor roll. West Chester had 41 percent of its student-athlete population make the honor roll list.
Gannon and Seton Hill each led the conference with a 49 percent scholar-athlete rate. Mercyhurst holds the most scholar-athletes with 288.
