Molly Grammer (Centre Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) registered 18 kills against Ursuline and five more against Bowie State while young sister,
Jillian (Centre Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh), posted 33 and 19, respectively, to lead host West Chester to a pair of 3-0 sweeps at its own season-opening Ram Fest Tournament inside Hollinger Field House Friday afternoon.

West Chester (2-0) dispatched Bowie State in scores of 25-9, 25-9 and 25-8, before sending Ursuline to defeat by marks of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-20.

The Grammer tandem clicked on all cylinders in the nightcap match to spark West Chester to the straight-set win. The transfer from Seton Hall hit .279 for the match in 43 swings. The Golden Rams had 105 total attempts in all.

However, the story of the match was junior
Callie Krajcir (Allentown, Pa./Parkland), who recorded her 999th and 1,000th career digs during the same rally during set two of the match versus Ursuline.

Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) picked up 20 digs against Ursuline to pace the Golden Rams defensively. She had another six against Bowie State.

West Chester hit an amazing .418 in the Rams' first match of the day against Bowie State. The Rams followed up with a .257 hitting percentage in the nightcap opposite Ursuline.

West Chester finishes up the Ram Fest Tournament inside Hollinger Field House Saturday with the first of five matches slated for a 9 a.m. start. The Golden Rams will play Goldey-Beacom and Holy Family on Saturday.
