Box Score West Chester, Pa. – Sr., guard
Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) registered a team-high 19 points to help West Chester defeat Millersville 74-59 inside Hollinger Field House Wednesday night.
The Golden Rams (12-5, 9-4 PSAC) ended the game with their largest lead of 15 points, while outscoring the Marauders 40-20 in the paint and 20-10 in points off of turnovers. Millersville (10-7, 6-7 PSAC) knotted the game at 31-31 with two minutes in the second period, but it would not last long as West Chester went on an 8-0 run to lead by six going into halftime (39-33).
Senior guard
Dallas Ely (Montrose, Pa. / Montrose) finished second in scoring with 13 points and tied a season-high seven assists in the victory.
Forward
Kendall Benovy (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) and
Madison Torresin (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) each poured on 11 points and six rebounds combined. Center
Anna Kuntz (Camp Hill, Pa. /Trinity) grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds, to go with seven points and a game-high three blocks.
Marauders' Aunjel Van Brakle recorded a team-high 16 points in the loss. Teammates Celeste Robinson and Shelby Reimer both added 10 points and three assists for Millersville.
West Chester travels for a conference match up with Lock Haven this Saturday at 2 p.m.
