WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) registered 18 kills, and
Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) notched 41 assists, but visiting Pitt-Johnstown scored a 3-2 win over host West Chester inside Hollinger Field House Friday night.

West Chester (13-5, 1-4 PSAC) lost a five-setter for the second straight Friday, after falling to fell PSAC foe Indiana (Pa.) last week by a similar score. Pitt-Johnstown (11-5, 4-1) picked up its first win in Hollinger since 2013 and ended a personal two-match losing streak to the Golden Rams. The Mountain Cats took the match by scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 24-26 and 15-13.

UPJ closed out the match in the fifth set when West Chester's back line let Kendall Mahony's serve go, thinking it was long. However, the serve landed inbounds, giving the Mountain Cats the win.

West Chester held a 13-12 advantage in that final set. When UPJ rattled off three straight points to steal the win and the match. Mahony's kill evened things up at 13. Then, an attack error by the Golden Rams gave the Cats the lead, before Mahony served up the game-winner.

Grammer added 13 digs to her 41 assists, posting another double-double for the sophomore setter.
Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) recorded 34 digs to lead the Golden Rams.
Allie Duffy (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) finished with nine kills and six blocks.
Victoria Cruciani (Phoenixville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) had nine kills and five blocks as well.
