West Chester Extends Win-Streak To Eight, Defeats Bloomsburg 78-65

Box Score Bloomsburg, Pa. – Wester Chester finishes with five players scoring in double-figures to get past Bloomsburg 78-65, inside Nelson Field House Wednesday evening.
 
The Golden Rams (16-5, 13-4 PSAC) took a five-point lead to end the first period and then created separation through a 9-2 run to begin the second and actually go up by 14 at the break. Bloomsburg (12-8, 9-7 PSAC) would cut the deficit to three with .23 seconds to go in the third and once again in the fourth, but could not get over the hump as WCU would close out the game to a 13-point win.
 
Sr., forward Kendall Benovy (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) led the team with 15 points and nine rebounds, along with two assists, two steals, and a block. Teammate Dallas Ely (Montrose, Pa. / Montrose) matched her with a team-high 15 points, in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Sophomore-transfer Madison Torresin (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) poured in a season-high 14 points off the bench, going 6 for 9 from the floor. Guard

Jasmen Clarke (Temple, Pa. / Oley Valley) added 13 points, 12 in the first quarter alone, to with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) contributed 12 points, three assists, and three steals in the win.
 
Huskies' Adreana Sadowski recorded a team-high 16 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double, while Alex Ross registered a double-double as well scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Morgan Klunk added 13 points and four steals in the loss.
 
West Chester will have a full week to practice until next Wednesday where the Golden Rams take on East Stroudsburg at 5:30 p.m. on the road.
 
 
Notes:

Dallas Ely has moved into second all-time with 1499 points in her career (one short of 1500) to surpass Cecilia Rodden (83-87) with 1487. Brittany Sicinski follows, standing at 1484 career points, now just three points back of Rodden for third on the list. The two still trail Kiesha Mack (2000-01, 2002-05), who is the school's all-time scoring leader with 1,556 career points. Sicinski and Ely combined for two points in the first half.
