Women's Basketball Atlantic Regional Moved To Different Site On VUU Campus

RICHMOND, Va. – The 2016 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Women's Basketball Tournament has been relocated to Barco-Stevens Hall, on the campus of Virginia Union University.

Host Virginia Union in partnership with the NCAA, has announced that the Atlantic Regional will be located at their home facility of Barco-Stevens Hall. The tournament will feature the top women's basketball programs from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Mountain East Conference (MEC) and Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference (PSAC). Tip-off is slated for 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11 in a contest between No. 3 West Liberty University and No. 6 Shaw University.

12:00 p.m.           No. 6 Shaw vs. No. 3 West Liberty
2:30 p.m.             No. 7 Chowan vs. No. 2 California (Pa.)
5:00 p.m.             No. 8 Indiana (Pa.) vs. No. 1 Virginia Union
7:30 p.m.             No. 5 West Chester vs. No. 4 Wheeling Jesuit
 
The second round of the regional tournament will be held on Saturday, March 12 with the regional championship game slated for Monday, March 14. Barco-Stevens Hall is located at 1500 N. Lombardy Street, Richmond, Va., 23220.
