Box Score ERIE, Pa. – Emily Gebhart scored on a free position shot with seven seconds left in overtime to lift No. 11 Mercyhurst to a 9-8 victory over visiting No. 8 West Chester in a PSAC women's lacrosse match Saturday afternoon.

West Chester (5-1, 1-1 PSAC) let the game slip away in the second half when Mercyhurst (5-1, 2-0) scored three goals in under one minute of action to cut an 8-4 advantage to 8-7. The Lakers scored the equalizer with 1:06 left in regulation to send the game into the extra session.

It marked the fourth straight loss for the Golden Rams against the Lakers in the all-time series. Three of those four losses have come in overtime – including last year's PSAC semifinal contest.

West Chester, averaging over 20 goals per game entering the contest, was limited to just a pair of goals after halftime (35 minutes, 53 seconds of game time).

Erin Eckert (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan), Ashley Pyle (Springfield, Pa./Garnet Valley) and
Sami Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) each had a pair of goals.
Olivia Martin (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) and
Hannah Cowan (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy) added a goal as well.
