Claire Uhle (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) and
Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) were individual winners in the singles play, and also teamed up for a doubles win, but host Goldey-Beacom proved to be too much en route to a 6-3 non-league women's tennis match win Tuesday afternoon at Delcastle Tennis Center.
West Chester (7-4) never got on track, after Uhle and Shaak teamed up for a win at first doubles as Goldey-Beacom (7-4) captured the next two doubles contests. In singles play, the same seemed to be the case as the host Lightning took singles three thru six to claim the win.
The Golden Rams travel to Kutztown on Saturday for their PSAC opener against the Golden Bears.
