Kristen Vath (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley) scored four goals, and both
Sami Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) and
Olivia Martin (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) added three, as ninth-ranked West Chester topped visiting Georgian Court, 18-4, at Vonnie Gros Field Thursday afternoon.

West Chester (7-1) picked up its second win in as many days while Georgian Court (0-6) struggled to get anything going offensively all day.

The Golden Rams raced out to a 9-0 lead, before the Lions finally found the back of the cage. Vath posted all four of her tallies in the first half while Barnett netted all three of hers, staking West Chester to a 13-2 lead by the break.

Georgian Court mustered just two shots in the opening 30 minutes while committing 16 turnovers. The Lions first shot did not come until 21 minutes into the contest. That is when GCU's Melissa Williams put the visitors on the board with her 15th goal of the season. One minute later, Xena Valenzuela scored again for the Lions off an assist from Williams – her 100th career assist.

Dina Cifelli (Robbinsville, N.J./Notre Dame) posted a pair of goals and six assists for an eight-point afternoon. Barnett added an assist to her scoring total for four points while
Ashley Pyle (Springfield, Pa./Garnet Valley) scored once and tacked on three assists.

Paige Mitros (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) was credited with three saves to improve to 7-1 in goal for the Golden Rams. The Lions' Stephanie Lehner made 17 saves in 51 minutes, before being relieved by Amber Neumann, who was credited with three saves in nine minutes of action.

West Chester travels to Bloomsburg University next Tuesday for another PSAC battle at 4 p.m.
