WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Hannah Cowan (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy) scored five goals, and three other Golden Rams registered a hat trick, as ninth-ranked West Chester defeated Gannon, 20-6, in a PSAC women's lacrosse match at Vonnie Gros Field Saturday.
West Chester (10-1, 5-1 PSAC) picked up its second win in as many days and fifth victory in a row with the win over Gannon (5-6, 2-4).
Ashley Pyle (Springfield, Pa./Garnet Valley),
Sami Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) and
Erin Eckert (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) all recorded three goals in the win. Eckert was making her first appearance in four games for the Golden Rams.
Dina Cifelli (Robbinsville, N.J./Notre Dame) scored a goal and assisted on three others for a four-point afternoon.
Olivia Martin (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) scored once and assisted on two others.
Paige Mitros (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) made five saves to pick up her 10th win of the season.
West Chester hosts No. 6 Lock Haven on Wednesday at Vonnie Gros Field.
