WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester captured the top two singles and No. 1 doubles, but West Liberty was too deep, winning the rest of the matches to take a 6-3 non-league women's tennis decision Saturday afternoon at the Burt Reese Tennis Center on the campus of Bloomsburg University.
West Chester (10-5) saw its three-match winning streak come to a close with the loss.
No. 1 doubles team of
Claire Uhle (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) and
Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) were 8-4 winners. Both then won their singles matches and first and second singles, respectively.
West Chester hosts Shippensburg on Wednesday in a PSAC East match.
