Dina Cifelli (Robbinsville, N.J./Notre Dame) registered a pair of goals and a pair of assists to lead seventh-ranked West Chester University to a 9-8 win over No. 19 Indiana (Pa.) in a PSAC women's lacrosse match.

West Chester (12-1, 7-1 PSAC) ran its winning streak to a season-high seven straight while IUP (8-5, 6-2) has now dropped two of its last three contests and falls into third place in the league standings behind West Chester and Mercyhurst (10-1, 7-0).

The Crimson Hawks scored four of the last five goals in the game, including the final tally with 3:51 left. However, the hosts could never get the equalizer. IUP's final push for the tying goal resulted in a turnover with 40 seconds left on the clock, and the visitors ran out the clock for their second win over a ranked opponent this week.

West Chester held a 6-4 lead at halftime, following goals from
Hannah Cowan (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy) and
Erin Eckert (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) in the final three minutes of the opening session that broke a 4-4 tie. The Golden Rams then scored the first two goals of the second half to take an 8-4 advantage that they would not relinquish.

Cowan finished with one goal and two assists for a three-point afternoon. Eckert and
Kristen Vath (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley) each scored a pair of goals as well.

Paige Mitros (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) made eight saves, recording her 12th win of the season.

The game was played while snowed showered Miller Stadium all afternoon.
