West Chester Rallies For 3-1 Win Over Caldwell

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Abbie Dischert (Wilmington, Del./Concord) registered 12 kills and Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) notched 32 digs to lead West Chester to a 3-1 non-league women's volleyball win over visiting Caldwell University Thursday evening inside Hollinger Field House.
 
West Chester (11-3) dropped the first set to Caldwell (10-6), but rallied to take the next three straight and claim the win. The host won by scores of 22-25, 25-11, 25-22 and 25-16.
 
The Golden Rams posted a .241 hitting percentage for the match and recorded 81 digs, defensively. Yates' team-high 32 digs leaves her 12 shy of 1,000 in her young collegiate career.
 
Allie Duffy (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) put up nine kills and hit .350 in the four-set match while picking up three blocks. Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) dished out 36 assists.
 
West Chester continues its four-match homestand Friday night when Indiana (Pa.) comes to town for a PSAC crossover match with the Golden Rams at 7 p.m. inside Hollinger Fieldhouse.
