KUTZTOWN, Pa. – West Chester University's men's indoor track & field squad picked up six first-place finishes on the second and final day of the Kutztown Invitational inside O'Pake Fieldhouse Friday night.

The men shined the brightest in the field events, where three of the five wins were witnessed. Bryce Sadler, who earlier had finished runner-up in the weight throw, broke through for a win in the shot put, putting the shot 46 feet, 11 inches. Nicholas Robinson was third with a distance of 44-3¼. Sadler and Robinson went two and four in the weight throw with Sadler tossing it 46-10¾ while Robinson marked a distance of 44-4¾.

Justus Norman won the long jump with a leap of 23-4½. Meanwhile, D'Andrew Gursay won the triple jump, leaping 44-0½.

On the track, the men were paced by DeShaun Pickett's win in the 55m dash (6.47 seconds). The Golden Rams' 4x400m relay team consisting of Colin Vannicolo, Shawn Young, Ryan Heimbach and Ray Harris won that event in 3 minutes, 29.35 seconds.

West Chester's final first-place showing came in the 800m where Colin McClusick posted a winning time of 2:01.36. Teammate Jim McDaid was right behind him in 2:02.39, finishing third.

Andrew Dombrowiecki placed second in the 3000m with a time of 9:35.37 while Nick Angelina was third in 9:53.89. Ghassan Dix placed third in the 400m in 52.69 seconds.

The Golden Rams will be back in action Jan. 27 and 28 at the Bucknell Bison Multi & Open.
