Dina Cifelli (Robbinsville, N.J./Notre Dame) set the school record for career assists as sixth-ranked West Chester topped visiting Findlay, 16-7, in a non-league women's lacrosse match at Vonnie Gros Field Wednesday afternoon.

West Chester (2-0) used a five-goal spurt late in the first half to open up a 12-4 advantage and never looked back. That run was part of a larger effort that saw the Golden Rams score seven of the last nine goals in the first half and take a 12-5 lead into the break.

It was during that five-goal run that Cifelli dished to an open
Ali Donohue (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) with 4:37 to go in the half for record-breaking helper, eclipsing the old record set by Steph Kienle from 2005-08.

Sami Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) led all goal scorers with four while
Ashley Pyle (Springfield, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Cifelli each finished with four points. Pyle posted a hat trick while Cifelli assisted on three goals.

Eight different Golden Rams scored on the afternoon.
Kristen Vath (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley), Donohue and
Emily Schulze (Harleysville, Pa./North Penn) each scored a pair. Schulze also assisted on another.

Tatum Altman (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) and Olivia Martin (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) scored the other two goals for West Chester.

Nicole Martins (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley) made a career-high 10 saves in the cage to improve to 2-0 on the year for West Chester.

Sarah Gebre (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks West) had three ground balls and one draw control while
Carleigh MacWilliams (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) and Mckayl Novak (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) each caused a pair of turnovers to lead the defensive effort.
