WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Second-ranked Lindenwood University scored seven free position goals en route to a 17-7 victory over host West Chester University on a cold and windy afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field Saturday.
West Chester (5-2) has now dropped two of its last three contests while Lindenwood remains undefeated on the year at 14-0. 
The visiting Lions ran out to a 10-3 lead by halftime thanks to a 7-1 run over the final 20 minutes of the first half. 
In all, there were 11 goals scored by way of the free position in the contest. 
West Chester's 
Sami Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) registered a hat trick in the game. Four of her teammates all tallied once. 
Nicole Martins (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley) posted nine saves in the cage as well.
Lindenwood was led by Sophie Buelow, who scored a game-high four goals while Morgan Judd recorded a hat trick as well. Goalkeeper Rachel Ortell made six saves in the cage and registered an assist.
The Golden Rams return to Vonnie Gros Field on Tuesday when they jump back into conference play with a 4 p.m. start against Bloomsburg.
