Meet Results - Day 4

YORK, Pa. - Sitting atop the standings by an impressive 516 points through the first three days of action, the West Chester University women's swim team returned to the Graham Aquatic Center on Saturday night to close out the 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.

Despite the large lead, the Golden Rams kept the pedal down in Saturday's session and managed to tack on two more victories in the evening finale to extend their advantage to a sizable 725 points over the field on the final day of competition. Saturday's title marks the 12th in a row for the West Chester women and their four-day total of 1884 marks the most points by a PSAC representative in the championship in recent history (totals kept since 2004).

With two individual titles already under her belt, Georgia Wright (Doncaster, England) kicked off Saturday's final session by owning the 1650 freestyle event, taking the crown by nearly 80 seconds and setting a new meet record with a time of 16:34.60. Wright's quick finish gave the sophomore yet another NCAA "A" cut time and her finish bested the previous meet record by an impressive 16 seconds. Wright followed up her 1650 free performance with another record swim, setting a new PSAC record (1:58.96) in the 200 backstroke in her final event of the championship. Logging four individual titles and three conference records at the four-day event, Wright was named the meet's most outstanding female swimmer for the second-straight year.

Elizabeth Miller (Levittown, Pa. / Neshaminy) (2:03.98) and Megan Burns (Wallingford, Pa. / Strath Haven) (2:04.98) finished second and third behind Wright in the 200 back, while Meghan Keithly (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) logged a NCAA "B" cut time (51.63) in her second place finish in the 100 free.

The women's team saved perhaps their most inspired performance of the championship until the very last event. Sitting in second place for a majority of the race, Mikaela Lantz (Reading, Pa. / Reading) rattled off the fastest split of any swimmer in the field (50:39) to wield the quartet of Sydney Wareham (Mount Joy, Pa. / Donegal), Morgan Haney (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick), Keithly and Lantz to victory in the 400 free and just 0.20 ahead of second place Bloomsburg.
