Greta Saville Takes Home PSAC Freshman of the Year Honors in Major Award Recognition

LOCK HAVEN, PA – West Chester University freshman swimmer, Greta Saville (Mordialloc, Australia) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference female Freshman of the Year it was announced by that organization when the 2025-26 Swimming Major Award winners were announced Thursday afternoon.
 
Saville is the first Golden Rams' swimmer to take home the rookie honors since 2022 and the 11th winner overall since the league started recognizing first-year standouts in 2005. A West Chester freshman has won the honor 11 times in the 27 years of the award.
 
Saville enjoyed a tremendous first year in college winning three individual conference championships and one more as part of a relay. She qualified for the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships as a result. Saville won the PSAC title in the 500-yard freestyle, the 1000 free and the 1650 free while also helping the 800 free relay win a conference title.
 
Saville picked up an honorable mention All-America certificate at nationals finishing 11th in the 1650 free. She also placed 20th in the 1000 free and 24th in the 500 free.
