Lenya Ryan Named to the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Squad

PHILADELPHIA – West Chester University senior Leny Ryan (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) was chosen as one of 11 student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Women's Swimming & Diving Team. The team is nominated and voted on by the sports information offices of 30 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.
 
Ryan, who is making her first appearance on the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area squad, was a two-time PSAC Champion this past winter winning the 200-yard breaststroke and 200 individual medley. She was also a three-time NCAA Division II Qualifier in both of those events plus the 400 IM. She placed third in the 100 breaststroke and the 400 IM at the PSAC Championships as well. Ryan also was part of the 400 medley relay team that finished runner-up at the conference meet. Her academic accolades also include: 2026 PSAC Academic All-Conference, three-time PSAC Scholar Athlete, three-time Division II Athletic Director's Honor Roll and four-time WCU AD Honor Roll.
