West Chester Men Open Strong On Opening Night of the Season

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – West Chester's men's swim team won four events, and claimed the top two spots in three others, on the first night of its tri-meet season opener hosted by Southern Connecticut State University Friday night.
 
Sophomore Logan Brockway (York, Pa./Dallastown) led off the 400-yard medley relay that was a winner while also taking first place in the 100 backstroke Friday. Finally, he was part of the 800 free relay that took first place. Freshman Oliver Nguyen (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) was right behind Brockway in the 100 back (54.30).  
 
Evan Parkhill (Southampton, Pa./LaSalle) was a winner in his first college meet. He won the 100 breaststroke in 59.75 seconds. Jarod Anderson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) was right behind him in 59.95. Anderson also placed third in the 400 indiivdual medley and was part of the 400 medley relay win to open the night.
 
The tri-meet concludes Saturday morning.
