WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The West Chester men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the annual Golden Rams Classic (
results) on Sunday evening against Arcadia University.

Collin Pettit (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) placed first in the 1650 freestyle, posting a qualifying NCAA B cut time faster than any swimmer in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference this season.

Tom Powell III (West Grove, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) finished first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:41.19.

The Golden Rams claimed first place in the 400 freestyle relay where head coach
Steve Mazurek said they showed plenty of sprinting depth in that race.

Leo Chaves (Brazil) had two individual first place finishes on the night in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley.

West Chester is back in the pool on January 10 when they take on Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
