BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - No. 22-ranked West Chester University men's basketball kept pace with Bloomsburg University throughout the duration of Saturday's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division matchup but never gained a lead in the second half, ultimately losing 102-89.

The Golden Rams (14-5 overall, 8-5 PSAC) held their final lead with 3:48 remaining in the first half at 43-42 when senior center
Tim Toro (Scranton, Pa. / Abington Heights) knocked down a free throw. The Huskies (8-11, 5-8) had a 50-47 lead at halftime, and a 10-2 run for them to open the second half proved to be a major turning point in the game.

West Chester hadn't allowed over 100 points in a game since a 111-101 loss at East Stroudsburg University on Feb. 17, 2018.

Josh Samec (Trecksow, Pa. / Hazleton) led with 20 and freshman
Robbie Heath (Whittlesea, Australia / Abington) had 18 while senior
Malik Jackson (Lansdowne, Pa. / Penn Wood) and freshman
Kyle McGee (Jersey City, N.J. / St. Mary's of the Assumption) had 17 apiece.

Despite the recent skid, the Golden Rams remain in second place in the PSAC East standings with nine regular season games remaining.
