LOCK HAVEN, PA - West Chester University's field hockey squad received nine first-place votes and was picked first in the preseason coaches poll released Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester, coming off a national championship in 2019, returns a strong nucleus of talent from that title, led by senior All-America defender
Caitie McNamara (Buderim, Australia).
East Stroudsburg was selected second while Shippensburg was picked third. The Raiders received a pair of first-place votes as well.
