Women's Swimming at Thomas Murphy Invitational

MEET RESULTS SATURDAY MORNING PRELIMS

BALTIMORE, MD – McKenzie Hemingway (Chestertown, Md./Queen Anne's County) won the prelims of the 100-yard breaststroke with an NCAA Division II 'B' time of 1 minute, 3.72 seconds to lead the Golden Rams' small contingent at the Thomas Murphy Invitational at Mangione Pool & Recreation Center on the campus of Loyola (Md.) University Saturday.
 
Hemingway was one of a few Golden Rams to put up times that were among the top eight in the morning session. Mikayla Niness (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) placed sixth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:54.91. She was almost two seconds off an NCAA 'B' time. Meanwhile, Isabella Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) was ninth in the 100 backstroke. That was about three seconds off a 'B' time.
 
West Chester will continue its training for the Total Performance Invitational on Nov. 17 in Ohio.
