GAMBIER, OHIO – Ann Carozza (West Chester, Pa./East) and
Keeley Durkin (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) each picked up individual wins and a relay win while Carozza's time in the 200-yard butterfly was a meet record on the final night of competition at the Total Performance Mid-Season Invitational inside the James A. Steen Aquatics Center on the campus of Kenyon College Saturday.

West Chester finished second overall with 1,548 points behind only Kenyon's 2,803.5. Carnegie Mellon placed third with 1,465 and Hope College had 1,055 to finish fourth. SUNY-Geneseo placed fifth with 663.5 points while Milligan (490) and John Carroll University (343) finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

Carozza won her third event of the weekend with a meet record of 1 minute, 57.01 seconds in the 200 butterfly. It was also an NCAA automatic qualifying time, marking the second time this year that she has come in under the 'A' cut time for the NCAA Division II Championships. She swam a 1:55 and change earlier in the year. It was also the only time under two minutes in the meet.

Durkin picked up her third win of the weekend as well touching the wall first in the 1650 freestyle. Her winning time of 17:00.49 was a 'B' cut time. Both Carozza and Durkin were members of two winning relays to go along with their three individual wins. All four of the relays had NCAA 'B' times while one also set a PSAC record.

Mikayla Niness (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) was runner-up in the 100 free with a 'B' time of 50.66. She also placed second in the 500 and third in the 50 while swimming each of the five relays that all hit 'B' times and either won, or finished second, throughout a very successful weekend.

West Chester placed three swimmers in the top six places in the 200 breaststroke.
Maddie Koehle (State College, Pa./State College Area) was third with a 'B' time of 2:19.24.
Isabella Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) was fourth and
McKenzie Hemingway (Chestertown, Md./Queen Anne's County) was sixth.

Sophie Gerhart (Spring Mills, Pa./Penn Valley) placed fourth in the 200 fly behind Carozza. Her time of 2:05.63 was just .03 seconds off of a 'B' time.

The women's swim team will return to action on Dec. 2 when they host Delaware at 5 p.m.
