LOCK HAVEN, PA - West Chester University senior golfer
Alexandra Lowder (Wrightsville, Pa./Eastern York) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Golfer of the Week it was announced Wednesday.
Lowder was runner-up at the 12th Annual Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational on her home course at Penn Oaks Golf Club. Lowder shot an 86 on Monday and an 80 on Tuesday to finish six strokes off the medalist from LeMoyne College. Lowder finished with two birdies and hit 17 pars in the tournament while her 80 on Tuesday was that round's low score. She knocked six strokes off of her Round 1 total that allowed her to move up two spots on the individual leaderboard.
Lowder and the West Chester women's golf team will be back in action this weekend at Millersville University's tournament on Saturday.
