West Chester Set to Face Seton Hill in PSAC Championship Game Sunday

WEST CHESTER, PA - The top-ranked team in Division II is set to play for a conference title Sunday afternoon when West Chester University hosts No. 22 Seton Hill University in the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Lacrosse Championship Game at Vonnie Gros Field. Faceoff is at 12 p.m.

Tickets to the PSAC Championship Game are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Any student from a PSAC member institution will be admitted free of charge. Only PSAC passes will be honored. No comp tickets will be available.
 
The purchasing of tickets is an ONLINE ONLY process. Fans can click on this LINK to purchase tickets in advance, or scan a QR code which is available through social media platforms and will be at the gate the day of the games. Tickets will be good for each day of the tournament. So, a ticket purchased on Friday will gain you admission to both semifinal games. However, a new ticket will need to be purchased on Sunday for the championship game.

West Chester is making its 31st appearance in the PSAC Championship Game and fifth straight. West Chester is 24-6 all-time in the PSAC Championship Game and 21-2 at home. Both losses (2010, 2011) came at the hands of Lock Haven. West Chester has won the PSAC Tournament a record 24 times. Last title in 2021. West Chester is 4-0 vs. Seton Hill in the PSAC Tournament (2022, 2021, 2019, 2014) and 11-1 all-time overall dating back to the first meeting in 2014.
 
West Chester defeated Seton Hill, 19-8, in the 2021 PSAC Championship Game at Vonnie Gros Field. It is the fourth straight year in which West Chester and Seton Hill will collide in the PSAC Tournament. West Chester has been victorious in previous three conference tournament encounters.
 
Seton Hill is making its second PSAC Championship Game appearance. They lost to West Chester, 19-8, in 2021 in its only other appearance in the finals. Seton Hill has two starters and three total participants from 2021 conference title match still on the roster (D – Mikayla Kintner; M – Elizabeth Tamasitis). GK Kayleigh Hessian played, but did not start the game.
 
West Chester has two starters and six total participants from 2021 conference title match still on the roster (A – Lindsay Monigle, M – Hannah Stanislawczyk). Taylor O'Brien, Helen Kreschollek, Emily Williams and Grace Frasso played, but did not start.
 
West Chester head coach Ginny Martino is in search of her 14th PSAC Championship in this, her 25th season coaching the Golden Rams. She is 13-6 in the conference title game in her coaching career. Today will be her 20th time coaching in the championship game.
