NEW ORLEANS-A staple within the West Chester University track and field program, longtime Assistant Coach
Pat Mosley was honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association with men's Assistant Coach of the Year honors.
In her 16th year as an assistant coach at West Chester, Mosley has been charged with mentoring the Golden Rams throwers throughout her career with the Golden Rams. In 2022-23, Mosley coach USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the Year
Ralph Casper to a National Championship in the shot put at the 2023 Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships while also adding a fifth-place finish in the discus for his second of two First Team All-American honors. These finishes helped West Chester place 22
nd at the Division II Track and Field National Championships.
This outstanding effort in Colorado to conclude the 2023 season (which also saw Casper break the WCU discus record once again) was just the latest in a season for the ages by the graduate student thrower. Mosley also helped mentor Casper to a trio of stellar finished at the PSAC Outdoor Championships earlier in May as Casper won the shot put and discus while taking fifth place in the hammer at that meet.
