PSAC FALL SPRINT FRENZY
PSAC INVITATIONAL
YORK, PA – West Chester University's women's swimming squad took first place out of nine schools from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in both the PSAC Fall Sprint Frenzy and the PSAC Invitational Friday afternoon at the York YMCA Graham Aquatic Center.

West Chester collected five first-place ribbons out of eight events during both meets, accumulating 437 points in the PSAC Sprint Fall Frenzy and another 473 points in the PSAC Invitational. The 200-yard medley relay, 400 medley relay and 400 free relay were all winners for the Golden Rams.

Madelyn Koehle (State College, Pa./State College Area),
Bella Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) and
Susana Ungo Quero (Madrid, Spain) were all winners in each meet. Koehle won the 50 breaststroke in the Fall Frenzy and the 100 breast in the Invitational that followed. Kil won the 100 individual medley in the Frenzy and the 200 IM in the Invitational. Quero won the 50 butterfly and the 100 fly.
Sam Trumble (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) won the 100 freestyle in the Fall Frenzy.

Koehle, Kil and Quero made up three of the four that helped the 200 medley relay to a win in the first event of the day. Bella's younger sister,
Sam Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) swam the leadoff leg of that relay. The Golden Rams' "B" squad finished second in the 200 medley relay as well.
Anna Evans (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn),
Molly Hubal (Archbald, Pa./Valley View),
Mallory Pardoe (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) and
Shannon Gumble (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) made up that foursome.

Finishing off the Fall Sprint Frenzy,
Bella Kil finished third in the 50 breast in support of Koehle. Trumble placed second in the 50 free. Pardoe was right behind Quero in the 50 butterfly, finishing second.
Sam Kil placed second in the 50 backstroke. Koehle touched the wall second right behind
Bella Kil in the 100 IM. The 200 free relay team of Trumble, Hubal,
Sam Kil and Quero was second overall.

In the PSAC Invitational, the 400 medley relay team that took first place (
Sam Kil, Koehle, Quero, Trumble) was followed to the wall by the Golden Rams' "B" squad of
Sam Heiland (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), Hubal, Pardoe and Gumble. Evans and
Allie Defrehn (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) placed third and fourth in the 200 IM that was won by
Bella Kil. Pardoe followed Quero to the wall in the 100 fly to finish second.

Dani Stewart (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) and
Ditta Kowalik (State College, Pa./State College Area), placed second and third, respectively, in the 200 free.
Sam Kil was second to the wall in the 100 back. Her sister was third in the 100 breast.

West Chester returns to action for its home opener next Saturday afternoon when the Golden Rams will entertain Bloomsburg and Lehigh at 1 p.m. at Graham Natatorium. West Chester and Lehigh will also compete in diving up at North Campus Pool in Hollinger Field House.
