GOLDEN RAMS WELCOME MILLERSVILLE ON HOMECOMING
• West Chester (2-5, 2-2) returns to John A. Farrell Stadium Saturday for its annual Homecoming/Family Weekend. Millersville (0-7, 0-4) is in town for the 91st rendering of the local rivalry between the two PSAC institutions.
• The West Chester-Millersville rivalry dates back to 1921 and is both the oldest and the most played rivalry on the books at West Chester. The Golden Rams and the Marauders have met 90 times in the history of this series.
• West Chester is coming off a 45-31 loss at the hands of East Stroudsburg last Saturday night. The game was tied after three quarters. However, the Warriors scored two touchdowns in the fourth to pull away for the win on the team's Homecoming week. Millerville is looking for its first win of the season, though the Marauders have been in almost every game this year. They just haven't been able to finish one out, yet.
• On the bright side for West Chester, the offense had a pretty good night up in the Poconos. The Golden Rams were able to move the football, and quarterback Cooper Jordan was a big reason for that. Unfortunately, the defense had difficulty stopping East Stroudsburg's running game.
• Millersville boasts a duo at running back that could challenge West Chester on Saturday. Jaiden Adams and Jaheim Morris are both capable of picking up chunks of yardage. If the Golden Rams can limit those two runners, then they should experience some success on Saturday.

GOLDEN RAMS vs. MILLERSVILLE ALL-TIME
• West Chester is 72-18 all-time against Millersville in a series that dates back to 1921. Millersville ended a 19-game losing streak to the Golden Rams last season at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium. For the Marauders, that win against West Chester last season was the last time that they won a football game. Millersville lost the rest of its games in 2023 and has not won a game this fall. The 'Ville brings a 15-game losing streak into the showdown.
• West Chester is 35-11 at home against Millersville all-time. The last time the Marauders left West Chester with a win was 2000 (6-0). The Golden Rams' win streak at home over the Marauders stands at 10 games entering Saturday's encounter. West Chester averages 31 points per game all-time against Millersville.

LAST TIME vs. MILLERSVILLE (Sep. 23, 2024 – MILLERSVILLE, PA.)
• Host Millersville ended 19 years of futility to visiting West Chester with a 23-14 victory over the Golden Rams at wet Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opener Saturday afternoon.

West Chester struggled defensively once again as Millersville running back Jaheim Morris rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown to lead the Marauders to their first win over the Golden Rams since 2002. Cooper Jordan was sacked six times and threw two interceptions as he was chased all over the field by Millersville's defensive unit. He threw for just 85 yards in completing 7 of 19 passes.

West Chester mounted a comeback of sorts in the second half with a pair of long touchdown plays. An 80-yard TD run in the third quarter, and Rahiem Bowens' 62-yard TD reception from Jordan in the fourth fueled a comeback bid. However, West Chester could not overcome a disastrous first half.

SALUTE TO DANNY HALE AT HALFTIME
• Former West Chester University head coach, Danny Hale, will be honored at halftime by the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame as they continue their on-campus salute to all the inductees in the college football hall of fame class. Hale will be inducted on December 10 in Las Vegas for his outstanding coaching career both at West Chester and Bloomsburg.
• At West Chester, Hale went 40-13 (75.5%), won three PSAC East titles, and advanced to the NCAA playoffs in 1988. At Bloomsburg, Hale posted a record of 173-56-1 (75.4%) and holds the school record for most coaching victories. Overall, in 25 years as a head coach, he had a mark of 213-69-1 (75.4%) and ranked among the top five active coaches in NCAA Division II in winning percentage and victories at the time of his retirement. Coach Hale becomes the first person ever from West Chester University to be inducted into the college football hall of fame. Golden Rams' legendary head coach, W. Glenn Killinger, is in the hall of fame. However, he was inducted on his merits as a player at Penn State.

2004 NCAA SEMIFINALISTS TO BE RECOGNIZED
West Chester University will also welcome back to campus the 2004 Golden Rams squad that won the Super Region 1 championship and advanced to the national semifinals for the first time in school history. The Golden Rams finished 11-4 that year and went undefeated in PSAC East play. There was no "State Game" that year as the winners of both the West and the East were co-champions in the conference. West Chester defeated C.W. Post at home in the first round of the playoffs, before taking to the road to beat both Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg. A loss to Valdosta State (Ga.) ended the Golden Rams' magical run.

WEST CHESTER - LAST TIME OUT
West Chester junior quarterback, Cooper Jordan did what he could to keep the Golden Rams in the game, but in the end, host East Stroudsburg racked up 478 yards of total offense to take a 45-31 victory Saturday night.

West Chester matched East Stroudsburg touchdown-for-touchdown and pulled even with the Warriors at 31-all by the end of the third quarter. However, ESU came up with some more big plays in the final 15 minutes to pull away.

Jordan threw for 204 yards and two TDs, rushed for 82 yards and even caught a pass for 22 on a 4th-and-1 Philly Special. He just didn't get much help from his defense. East Stroudsburg scored three rushing touchdowns of more than 30 yards. The Golden Rams' defense allowed eight plays of more than 20 yards in the game.
