FB PHILLYSIDA COVER CONNOR NOBLE, SHANE MOSLEY AND SEAN HENRY

Noble, Mosley, and Henry Earn PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Honors

Full Release
PHILADELPHIA-
The Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA) released its football Academic All-Area squad on Thursday afternoon, and the association recognized three Golden Rams as Sean Henry (Reading, Pa./Exeter), Connor Noble (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East), and Shane Mosley (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) were all honored.

Henry, Noble, and Mosley are three of 24 student-athletes honored on the student-athletes on the 2024 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Football Team, which is selected through voting conducted by the sports information offices of 30 institutions in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area. Noble and Mosley are two of 13 student-athletes honored who all received First Team All-Conference honors.

In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area honors, an athlete must be in at least their second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better.

Noble, a First Team All-PSAC and First Team D2CCA All-Super Region One honoree, was the anchor of West Chester's defense, which dramatically improved as the year progressed. He finished the 2024 season with a career-high 117 tackles and intercepted two passes while forcing two fumbles. He ranked second overall in the PSAC in tackles while leading the Eastern Division in stops. That total was good for fourth in all of Division II.  His 79 assisted tackles were second overall in the PSAC and rank third all-time at WCU. Had the middle linebacker had one more regular-season game, he very well could have broken that record. He was credited with three QB hurries.  Noble's stellar fall followed an equally impressive 2023 season when he was named Don Hansen FB Gazette , honorable mention All-America, and a second-team Super Region 1 selection. He was a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award and will be up for the same award again this winter.

Mosley was another First Team All-League honoree, and the veteran defensive back was  the team captain and the glue that kept the defense together. From his safety position, he finished second on the team in tackles with 79, including 4.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions, and nine passes defensed. He also returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown against Lock Haven. He made 34 solo stops and even blocked a kick. The grad student ranked 11th overall in the PSAC in tackles.

Henry was a second-team All-PSAC East honoree after a tremendous senior season. The veteran kicker made good on 34 of his 35 extra-point attempts and nailed a career-long 50-yard field goal against Seton Hill early on in the year. He had a streak of three straight converted field goals going early in the season as well. The senior registered 12 touchbacks and averaged nearly 58 yards on 49 kickoffs during the year.
