WEST CHESTER, Pa.- After competing at the Widner Winter Evenings Invite, the West Chester University women's track and field team is finishing its preparations for its next meet as the team will compete as a split squad at the Bucknell Multi and the Alvernia Plex Shootout on Friday and Saturday.
West Chester will start the weekend Bucknell on Friday night in Lewisburg inside Gerhard Fieldhouse, beginning at 5:00 p.m., and racing throughout Saturday.
Another squad will compete at the Alvernia Plex Shootout at the Flynn Plex Athletic Center in Reading, PA., starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Last Time Out
Lily Palacio Lewis (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) took second in the 200 in 25.50 seconds, which served as a new season-best.
Katja Larsen (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) took 12
th in the 200 with a personal-best time of 26.52 seconds. Larsen also finished seventh in the 60 in 8.05 seconds.
Morgan Pera (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) was 11
th in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.84 seconds.
Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) took 14
th in the 400 with a season-best time of 1:03.00.
Annika Hummel (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg Area) to 1
st in the pole vault with a mark of 11 feet 11 ¾ inches (4.65m) with a season-best, which also serves as an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark.
Emily Donegan (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) took fifth with a season-best mark of 10-11 ¾ (3.35m), while
Kaylie Groff (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) was seventh with a mark of 10-6 (3.20m).
Victoria Gbodi (Drexel Hill, Pa./Milton Hershey) hit a new PR in the triple jump with a third-place mark of 37-9 ¼ (11.51m), which also served as a PSAC Qualifying mark. Gbodi also took ninth in the long jump with a mark of 16-10 ½ (5.14m).
Emma Deyarmin (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) set a new PR in the weight throw with a mark of 43-10 ¾ (13.38m) to finish 12
th. Deyarmin also finished 15
th in the shot put with a mark of 34-9 (10.59m).
