In singles action,
Delaney Tingle (Charlotte, N.C./Palm Desert High) and
Ashleigh Grooms (Newport, Ky./The Summit Country Day School) will compete for WCU beginning in the Round of 64. Tingle will open up her season against Lauren Hayes from Millersville, and with a win would face the winner of a match between Michelle Connor (Charleston) and Stephanie Gopar (Fairmont State) in the Round of 32. Grooms will open her season against Dominique Van Vuuren of West Virginia Wesleyan and, with a win, would face the winner of a match between Lily Wentzler (Davis & Elkins) and Mira Fonesca (Fairmont State) in the Round of 32.
In doubles action, Tingle will team up with
Alexandra Cave (Greenmeadows Napier, New Zealand/Woodford House) while Grooms will be joined by
Sohana Thompson (Fairfield, Ohio/The Seven Hills School). Tingle and Cave will face the Slippery Rock duo of Nicole Kempton and Alissia Aleksandra Kivi, and with a win would face the winner of a match between Charleston and Salem in the Round of 16. Grooms and Thompson will open their campaign against Courtney Curnutte and Maria Martirosyan of West Liberty, and with a win would face the winner of a match between Indiana (Pa.) and Fairmont State in the Round of 16.
