YORK, Pa.- The West Chester University men's swimming team captured two more relay victories (200 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay) and
Kolos Nagy (Szazhalombatta, Hungary) won the 400 IM to help West Chester extend its lead atop the team standings. West Chester ended the second day of the 2025 PSAC Championships with a team score of 465 after two days of competition.
West Chester started the Tuesday evening session with a victory in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:20.83, as the quartet of
Devin Metzger (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus), Joel Dunnigan (York, Pa./Dallastown), Dalton Fink (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), and Nolan Benner (Green Lane, Pa./Boyertown) finished just shy of a new PSAC Championship meet record.
West Chester also wrapped up the evening session with a victory in the 400 medley relay as the quartet of Fink, Benner,
Brey Wright (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Central), and Dunnigan touched the wall in 3:17.22.
Wright led West Chester in the 100 fly with a sixth-place finish in 49.28 seconds.
Kolos Nagy (Szazhalombatta, Hungary) won the 400 IM in 3:53.61, which tied his own PSAC Championship record in the process.
Christian Henry (York, Pa./Central York) and
Ryan Lee (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) took fourth and fifth in 4:02.45 and 4:05.08, respectively.
West Chester took four of the top five spots in the 200 free, led by
Danny Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) who took second in 1:39.53. Metzger finished third in 1:40.13, while
Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France) and
Jacob Texter (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) took fourth and fifth in 1:40.41 and 1:40.42, respectively.
West Chester will be back in action on Wednesday for day three of the 2025 PSAC Championships. Prelims of the 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, and 200 fly will be at 10 a.m. with the finals of those events along with the 200 medley relay to follow at 6 p.m.
