Women's Swimming Begins Competition at NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships

INDIANAPOLIS- Susana Ungo Quero (Madrid, Spain) led the West Chester University women's swimming team on the second day of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships.

Ungo Quero, Madelyn Koehle (State College, Pa./State College), and Bella Kil (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) were all back in the pool on Tuesday morning in the prelims of the 200 Individual Medley (IM).

Ungo Quero narrowly missed qualifying for the evening finals as she reached the wall in 2 minutes and 4.03 seconds to place 20th in the prelims. Koehle took 28th in 2:05.51, while Kil was 35th in 2:06.55.

Ungo Quero is due back in the pool tomorrow morning for the prelims of the 100 fly as she is slated to compete in the fifth heat. Koehle's next action will be in Friday morning prelims of the 100 breast.
