Men's Basketball Ranked Fifth in Third and Final Atlantic Regional Rankings

WEST CHESTER, Pa.-
The West Chester University men's basketball team (23-5) was ranked fifth in the final Division II men's basketball Atlantic Regional rankings ahead of the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Selection show on Sunday, March 9.

Sunday's selection show will air at 11 p.m. on NCAA.com.

West Liberty (25-3) retained the top spot in the rankings, followed by Gannon (22-6), Virginia State (20-8), Fayetteville State (20-8), and West Chester to round out the top five. Fairmont State (23-4) was ranked sixth, followed by East Stroudsburg (21-7) in seventh, Bluefield State (18-11) in eighth, California (16-11) in ninth, and Charleston (W.V.) (18-9) in 10th to round out the top-10.

West Chester is preparing for a home PSAC Quarterfinal against Millersville on Wednesday night beginning at 7 p.m. as the Golden Rams look for their program record 24th win of the season and first PSAC Semifinal appearance since 2019. With a victory over Millersville on Wednesday night, West Chester will also earn hosting rights for the PSAC Championship weekend for the first time since 2015-16, which was also the last time the Golden Rams won 23 games in a single season.
