CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University women's track and field team was back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Paul Donahue Invitational hosted by Widener University.
Lily Palacio Lewis took second in the 100 meters in 12.09 seconds while
Morgan Pera led the Golden Rams in the 100 hurdles with a fifth-place finish in 15.05 seconds.
Cate Hildebrand finished fourth in the 400 hurdles in 1:07.43 while
Jade Williams joined her in the top 10 with a ninth-place finish in 1:08.70.
Palacio Lewis also finished sixth in the 200 in 24.87 seconds.
Competing in both the 800 and 1500 open divisions,
Kristina Tapia led West Chester with a 30
th-place finish in the 800 in 2:23.95 while finishing ninth in the 1500 in 4:46.01.
Ellie Goldberg led West Chester in the 5000 with a 16
th-place finish in 18:25.67.
West Chester finished its day on the track with a fourth-place finish in the 4x400 relay in 4:05.81.
Jaclyn Borcky took fourth in the javelin with a mark of 104 feet 4 inches (31.82 meters).
Katie Pieslak turned in sixth-place finishes in both the long jump and triple jump with marks of 17-11 (5.48m) and 36-6 (11.14m), respectively.
Jade Salmon took fifth in the high jump, clearing a height of 5-1 (1.55m).
Annika Hummel led a quartet of Golden Rams in the top 10 in the pole vault with a fourth-place finish, clearing a height of 11-7 ¾ (3.55m), which
Emily Donegan matched to also finish fourth.
Kaylie Groff and
Hannah LaFave took seventh and ninth with marks of 11-1 ¾ (3.40m) and 10-8 (3.25m), respectively.
Jaclyn Borcky took fourth in the javelin and 27
th in the hammer with marks of 104-5 (31.82m) and 98-1 (29.9m), respectively.
