LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its Softball All-Conference selections on Tuesday afternoon and West Chester (32-17, 18-14) had three players honored as
Danielle Ciliberto (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) was a First Team selection, while
Paige Marabell (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) and
Mairead Hopkins (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) earned Second Team honors.
Ciliberto earned her second career First Team All-League certificate as a Utility/Pitcher honoree after making her first appearance on the First Team All-League squad as a pitcher at the end of the 2023 season.
Ciliberto enjoyed an excellent season in the circle, going 17-7 with a 1.69 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP with 11 complete games and three shutouts. She has also registered three saves and fanned 93 batters with a .255 opponents' batting average in 153.1 innings of work this season. The junior has also been a force at the plate once again in 2025, playing as the designated player in 21 games for West Chester, while remaining in the top half of the Golden Ram lineup even when in the circle. Ciliberto has a .336 batting average with 41 hits in 122 at bats, including five doubles and three home runs. Ciliberto has scored 17 runs and driven in 25 more, including an important three-run home run in a sweep of Shepherd on South Campus on Friday. Ciliberto has an .852 OPS with a .451 slugging percentage and a .401 on-base percentage with 14 walks to her credit.
Marabell earns her first career All-League citation as the catcher was a Second Team All-PSAC East pick behind the plate at the end of an excellent sophomore season, which saw her bat .336 (50-for-149) with 13 doubles, one triple, and a team-best 12 home runs while also scoring 47 runs and scoring 18 more. She has a 1.086 OPS with a stellar .678 on-base percentage and a .408 on-base percentage with 15 walks and four hit by pitches in an excellent season at the plate. Marabell has also been a strong defensive catcher for Lokey's Golden Rams this season, posting a .995 fielding percentage with just one error and three passed balls while catching six runners attempting to steal, which is tied for sixth best in the league.
Hopkins is now a two-time All-League selection after earning a spot on the First Team a season ago. The junior outfielder led the team in batting average at .351 (59-for-168) with 17 doubles and eight home runs, while scoring 33 runs and driving in 38 more with an OPS of 1.027. Hopkins has a .595 slugging percentage and a .432 on-base percentage with 17 walks and seven hit by pitches as the junior right fielder was the Golden Rams leadoff hitter throughout much of the 2025 season. Hopkins also went 5-for-6 on stolen base attempts in her junior campaign and posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 47 putouts and two assists, and she helped turn one double play.
West Chester finished just shy of a PSAC Tournament appearance in 2025 as the Golden Rams had hoped to defend their 2024 crown and will now await the NCAA Division II Softball Selection Show on NCAA.com on Monday, May 5.
