PSAC TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PROGRAM

WEST CHESTER, PA – One school will be looking for its third straight conference crown and 27th overall while the other is hoping to secure its first when West Chester and Slippery Rock meet up Sunday afternoon in the finals of the 2025 PSAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament at Vonnie Gros Field.
West Chester (16-0) remained unbeaten on the year with its 14-11 win over Seton Hill in the semifinals on Friday while Slippery Rock (16-1) edged East Stroudsburg, 12-11 in overtime. These two most recently met in last year's conference semifinal round where the Golden Rams eliminated The Rock on their way to a conference-best 26th championship.
Sunday's title game pits the top two ranked programs in the Atlantic Region against one another. The winner will secure the conference's automatic bid to the NCAAs. However, both have most assuredly already stamped their tickets to the big dance.
West Chester returns six starters from last year's semifinal showdown while Slippery Rock returns five. That experience for both squads came in handy on Friday as the Golden Rams squandered a five-goal lead in the second quarter, but regrouped to crack open a 14-8 lead midway through the fourth quarter. Against ESU, The Rock trailed by four early, but kept plugging away and eventually scored in overtime to advance to today's final.
Head Coach
Ginny Martino takes her charges into the conference championship game on Sunday for the 22nd time. She is 15-6 in the title game since manning the sidelines for the first time in 1998. The IWLCA Hall of Fame head coach brings nine players into Sunday's game who have made a start, and four others who have made an appearance, in a previous conference title game, including all three defenders in the back (
Natalie Goldsmith,
Kendall DiCamillo,
Katie Byrne) who have started the last three PSAC Championship Games.
Keri Barnett, the 2023 MVP of the finals, has six goals and seven points combined in 2022 and 2023.
