Barkley and Griffith Earn Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Honors

The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) released its Scholar All-American teams on Monday morning and West Chester had a pair of players honored for the second year in a row as Cierra Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring Ford) and Emilee Barkley (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) were honored by the association for their efforts in the classroom and on the course in 2024-25.

The WGCA bestowed this honor upon nearly 1,500 (1,499) collegiate golfers from 403 programs in 2024-25.

To be eligible for this recognition, golfers must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, maintain amateur status, remain on the roster throughout the 2023-24 season, and have played in at least 50 % of the team's scheduled rounds through the Conference Championship.

Griffith, who was honored by the Association for the second year in a row, played in 23 rounds over the course of 11 Tournaments and posted an 84.48 scoring average with three top-10 finishes. Griffith was the Golden Rams top individual finisher at the PSAC Championships, finishing sixth at +27 (243) after shooting an 82 in the first and third rounds and a 79 in the second round to help West Chester to a second-place team finish.

Barkley played in 13 rounds in six Tournaments and posted a 92.4 scoring average in these rounds. Barkley's top finish was a 23rd-place showing in the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational when she fired a 182 (+40) with a 90 in the opening round and a 92 in the second and final round.
