LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Chester University honored 289 student-athletes on the 2024-2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Academic Honor Roll it was announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Rams' 289 honorees marks the most in an academic year since 314 student-athletes dotted the scroll in 2022. That year ended a three-year run that saw West Chester eclipse the 300 plateau, including a school record 360 in 2021.
The (PSAC) honored 3,922 student-athletes from its member institutions in all. Student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 upon completion of the academic year to be eligible for the PSAC Scholar-Athlete Award.
The 2024-25 PSAC Scholar-Athlete total of 3,922 (53% of the entire PSAC student-athlete population) marks the 10th consecutive year the PSAC has awarded at least 40% of its student-athlete population with Scholar-Athlete status. A total of 11 institutions increased their total number of PSAC Scholar-Athletes in 2024-25 compared to the previous year.
East Stroudsburg recorded the most PSAC Scholar-Athletes with 361, followed by Bloomsburg (313) and Seton Hill (302) while Slippery Rock (297), Gannon (290), West Chester (289), and IUP (268) round out the top seven institutions and all had over 250 Scholar-Athletes.
