NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – West Chester University's women's lacrosse team placed 12 upperclass student-athletes on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) honor roll while also earning designation as an honor squad it was announced by that organization Thursday afternoon.
Overall, The IWLCA honored 588 student-athletes from 84 different institutions on the 2024-25 Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic grade-point average of 3.50 or greater.
Among those honored, the West Chester dozen included
Keri Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Archbishop Carroll), Katie Byrne (Wall, N.J./Wall Twp.), Kendall DiCamillo (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley), Madeline Edinger (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge), Nicolette Giordano (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North), Natalie Goldsmith (Oceanport, N.J./Shore Regional), Piper Hammond (Tucson, Ariz./Southridge [Ore.]), Alana Mandato (Telford, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy Academy), Lauren Rush (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge), Amanda Wolfe, Alexis Smallwood and
Alexa Urbanski (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington).
The IWLCA also named 383 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
West Chester was one of nine schools from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to make onto the honors squad list.
